For long-distance smoke exhaust systems, once the fan has been secured, it must be connected to the ductwork, commonly referred to as a flue. During smoke extraction, the smoke is carried through the high-temperature smoke exhaust fan ductwork and discharged at a designated location. This is a form of centralized smoke extraction.
