Product Introduction

Reverse osmosis is a modern water purification technology. It uses reverse osmosis elements to improve water purity and remove impurities and salts from water. The purified water we drink every day is treated using reverse osmosis equipment and is clear. Reverse osmosis equipment first passes raw water through a precision filter, a granular activated carbon filter, a compressed activated carbon filter, and other filters. A pump then pressurizes the water and forces it through a reverse osmosis membrane (RO membrane) with a pore size of 1/10000 μm (equivalent to 1/6000 the size of E. coli and 1/300 the size of a virus). This turns higher-concentration water into lower-concentration water while separating out the industrial pollutants, heavy metals, bacteria, viruses, and other impurities mixed into the water. The result meets the physical, chemical, and hygiene standards for drinking water and produces exceptionally clean, pure water, making it an ideal way for the body to replenish itself with high-quality water. The water produced using RO technology has the highest purity of any water treatment technology currently available, with a cleanliness level of nearly 100%. For this reason, these machines are known as reverse osmosis water purifiers.

Reverse osmosis water purification equipment is designed with a reverse osmosis membrane. The pressure differs on the two sides of the membrane, and this pressure difference drives raw water through it. Salt moves from the side with a lower salt concentration toward the side with a higher salt concentration until equilibrium is reached, at which point the liquid's osmotic pressure is balanced. When the pressure on the saltwater side is lower than the osmotic pressure on the other side, water flows in the opposite direction, creating the reverse osmosis process.

System Components

Pretreatment: Generally includes a raw water pump, chemical dosing equipment, a quartz sand filter, an activated carbon filter, a precision filter, and other components. Its main purpose is to reduce the pollution index, residual chlorine, and other impurities in the raw water so that it meets the feedwater requirements for reverse osmosis. Pretreatment system equipment should be configured according to the specific characteristics of the raw water.

Reverse osmosis: Mainly consists of multistage high-pressure pumps, reverse osmosis membrane elements, membrane housings (pressure vessels), and a frame. Its main purpose is to remove impurities from the water so that the treated water meets the requirements for use.

Post-treatment: Additional equipment is installed when reverse osmosis alone cannot meet the treated-water requirements. This may include one or more of the following: anion exchange beds, cation exchange beds, mixed beds, disinfection equipment, ultrafiltration, and EDI. The post-treatment system further improves the quality of the water produced by reverse osmosis so that it meets the requirements for use.

Cleaning: Mainly consists of a cleaning tank, cleaning pump, and precision filter. When the reverse osmosis system becomes contaminated and the treated water no longer meets the required specifications, the system must be cleaned to restore its performance.

Electrical control: Used to control the normal operation of the entire reverse osmosis system. It includes an instrument panel, control panel, various electrical protection devices, an electrical control cabinet, and other components.

Installation Precautions

Install the equipment in a bypass configuration so that it can be inspected and maintained without shutting down the system.

Depending on site conditions, the equipment can be installed horizontally or vertically. Connect it to the pipes according to the inlet and outlet directions. When installed vertically, the equipment inlet must face upward; when installed horizontally, the drain outlet must face downward.
